Before you take your practical driving test you need to pass the theory test first.A car theory test costs £31 and involves two sections. The first section is made up of multi-choice questions where you must score at least 43 out of 50 to pass. The second part is the Hazard Perception test which is made up of a series of videos where you must identify potential hazards. The best way to practice the multiple choice question part of the test is to take practice tests online. There are a lot of different tests that you can take on the Internet and on your mobile phone. However we would recommend the test on the Gov.UK as it is most realistic compared to the real thing.

We would also recommend purchasing and reading the Highway Code as this will allow you to gain extensive knowledge into rules of the road and familiarize yourself with road signs.

You can practice your Hazard Perception test online on the driving-test-success website. This will allow you to see how the Hazard Perception test works and get an idea of the best times to click.
